For next week’s meeting (Thursday, September 17th), please sign up at
http://chicago-gtug3.eventbrite.com/

Tonight - September 10, 2009, 5:30 pm, 2262 SEL
Android Development Basics Hands on Session
Hands on session to cover the basics of how to develop and Android
App.
- The SDK components
- Layouts and widgets
- Intents
- Storing data with preferences
- Content providers (?)
- Reading the sensors (?)

I will assume that you are bringing a computer with the Android SDK already
setup. http://developer.android.com/sdk/1.5_r3/installing.html
By the way, I am going to be looking for help to develop a little game.  I
want to create an augmented reality pong (playable between two devices).  I
will use this as an example for a presentation that I will be doing October
6 at the Motodev Summit, and the code will be open source  (nice for the
resume), and you will receive credit for your collaboration on all
documentation, support sites, presentations, etc.

I could use some help with the math  (vector and space calculations),
networking, etc.  If you think you might be interested on helping, please
stop by this presentation.  I will dedicate a bit of time to the idea.

See you there!
Roberto
