Tutoring
Need help in your CS classes? Well, you’ve come to the right place! The ACM offers tutors for all UIC students currently taking computer science and related courses. While we can’t promise miracles in higher level computer science courses (300, 400), we specialize in helping out non-CS students with their CS 107 / 108 classes.
We cannot, and will not do your homework for you!
We can, however, offer guidance on HOW to properly approach your computer science projects, and to answer any questions you may have. We’ll even help you with strange errors you might be getting… it’s just we can’t actually do your homework for you.
The best way to get tutoring and help is to stop by our office and see if any tutors are around. (They usually are) You’ll find our office in the Science and Egineering Labs (SEL), room 2262. Curious where that is? I’m sure you’ve all used the computer labs in SEL… remember 2249, or 2249F? Our room is in the same hallway… we’re just a little further down, on the right.
The following are times when tutors were available. This does not guarantee the tutor will be in the office at these times. Please schedule a time using cs DASH tutoring@acm.cs.uic.edu (Replace the dash appropriately) Also do note that you should schedule at least 1-2 days ahead of time otherwise we can’t guarantee we’ll be around.

If you wish to tutor, please e-mail Sean with any classes you’ve taken so for and have the confidence to teach at sdeitz2@uic.edu. We’re happy to have you around if you need tutoring or would like to tutor, but if we could have times where people know they tutors will be here, it will help.
If you would like to schedule time with a tutor, please e-mail us at:
cs DASH tutoring@acm.cs.uic.edu
If you are unable to make any of these times, don’t fret! Email us so that we can arrange a time for you to meet with a tutor.
