Title: The GMail Loadbalancer
Abstract: GMail runs in various datacenters and has millions of users. GMail
needs a system that makes sure no datacenter is runs too hot. Enter the
GMail Loadbalancer. An infrastructure component that shuffles millions of
users every day making sure, among other things, no datacenter is overfull.
In this talk I shall give a brief overview of the GMail architecture. Will
also discuss the loadbalancer, the history of the project and tidbits of how
backend infrastructure projects at Google typically work.
We look forward to seeing you there!
Best,
Google University Programs
