[Acm-announce] RSVP by Friday April 3 Campus 1871 weekend-long event April 10-12

Dear CS students:


I’m reaching out to let you know about an opportunity for your students
called Campus 1871. Campus 1871 is a weekend-long event hosted by startup
incubator, 1871, that brings students from each of their university
partners (University of Illinois, IIT, University of Chicago, Northwestern
University, and Loyola) to build teams, and develop and pitch real startup
companies from scratch at 1871. In addition to working in small groups,
Campus 1871 will also bring in seasoned entrepreneurs to mentor and speak
on panels throughout the weekend.


This year’s event will take place over the weekend of *April 10-12th* at
1871. Interested students must go through the application process– *th**e

The admissions deadline is **Friday April 3rd**.* The event is free for
students and those selected will be supplied with transportation, meals,
and a hotel room for the weekend. 1871 is looking for three types of
students to participate: Hacker (i.e. engineer), Hipster (i.e. designer),
and Hustler (i.e. business/marketing). The emphasis of programming will
most likely be on digital tech given that 1871 and most of its companies
are in that space. Please feel free to share this opportunity with your
entrepreneurial-minded students and invite them to apply. Last year's
winning teams won student memberships to 1871.
