Sign up for elections will close at midnight Tuesday April 14. We will be
printing ballots for elections tomorrow Wednesday April 15.

Hello everyone,

ACM will be holding elections for the fall 2015 term Thursday, April 16,
2015. If you want to get involved in management of the ACM now is the time!
If you are interested or have any questions email *management at acm.cs.uic.edu
<management at acm.cs.uic.edu> *or stop by the ACM office in SELE 2262.

ACM Elections for the Fall 2015 Term

Date: Thursday, April 16, 2015

Time: 5:30pm

Requirements:


   - You *must *be a member of the ACM to vote. Only members will be
   allowed at the ACM Elections.
   - You *must *be a member of the ACM to run for a position.
   - If elected, you *must *become a member of National ACM. (National ACM
   fees are $19 per year. Go to http://www.acm.org/membership to find out
   about benefits.)


Positions:

*President*

The President is head of the ACM. You should run with a vision for where
you want to see the ACM go. The President is responsible for staying
informed of what is going on in the ACM, knowing how people view the ACM
and enacting decisions accordingly. You will communicate with the
university officials as well as people interested in the ACM; you should
communicate professionally and amicably as appropriately.

*Vice President*

The Vice President is the second in command of the ACM. You work with the
President to manage the ACM. You should run for Vice President if you want
to manage the ACM on a high level but do not feel comfortable holding the
lead responsibility of running the ACM.

*Treasurer*

The Treasurer is responsible for tracking and maintaining the budget of the
ACM. You should be comfortable with managing money and working with
university officials on submitting orders.

position there are other things you can do! Email management at acm.cs.uic.edu
or stop by the ACM office SELE 2262 if you want more information. We have a
pool of responsibilities for appointed positions.
