[Acm-announce] ACM LAN Party (March 21st)

Hey Everyone,

So the ACM LAN party will be in a little over a week on Saturday March
21st. Setup will begin at 2pm.

*What does it cost?*
The LAN party is free, dinner is provided by the ACM, roughly at around 6pm.

*What do I need?*
Bring your gaming rigs, laptops, or anything that you want to play video
games on. If you need to use the dolly to bring your stuff in, just call
(312) 996–5947 and we can send someone down.We will also have a few
computers available to users who are unable to bring a gaming capable
machine. Please notify me if you would like to use one, I will get you more
details.

*Where is it?*
In the CS lounge of SEL. Room 2260. If you have trouble accessing the
building, just call the ACM at (312) 996–5947, and we will send someone
down.

*Tournaments?*
So last time I didn't plan tournaments out too well. For this LAN party I
would like to organize two tournaments. The first will be a 3v3 Twisted
Treeline League of Legends tournament, and the second will be a Super Smash
Bros: Brawl tournament. To help organize this, I would like everyone who
wants to participate in either (or both) to create a challonge account:

Since this is team based, you will have to create an account and a team. I
leave this for you all to self organize your own teams.

The Super Smash Bros Brawl tournament, will start at 8:00 pm, registration

*Other organized games?*
Any other games will have to be self organized.


*But I want to play Civilization.*
Let's be honest, we are never going to finish one if we start it at the LAN
party. Since the LAN is happening the first day of Spring break, I figured
we could get some CIV games going after the LAN party during the week. I
will see if we can organize this using the UIC ACM steam group, expect more
updates on this.

*What about Artemis?*
Since this is more of a niche game which requires more space, I will
organize a game of this later in the night, after the Super Smash Bros
tournament (~10-11pm).
