The Grace Hopper Conference and Tapia Conference application has been
released. I attended the GHC last year and it was an incredible experience!
I definitely recommend applying as this is an amazing opportunity that you
do not want to miss.

Deadline: May 31, 2016

The UIC Computer Science department is accepting applications for travel
and registration funds to attend the Grace Hopper Conference and TAPIA
conference.

GHC: To be held October 19-21 in Houston, Texas gracehopper.org
TAPIA: To be held September 14-17 in Austin, Texas tapiaconference.org/

The award includes conference registration, lodging and travel.  You
will be responsible for most of your meals, with the exception of a few
conference and department-arranged meals.

Though typically there have been some attendees who are freshmen or
sophomores, preference will be given to CS undergraduate Juniors/Seniors
with significant CS course work completed.

The conferences are geared toward Women (GHC) and traditionally
underrepresented groups (TAPIA) in CS.  Continuing students should have
a minimum 2.7 GPA.

**All communication will be via email to the email ID you provide in the
application.**
