After you ace all of your final exams next week, come out to ACM's last LAN party of the semester! The LAN party will be next *Saturday, December 10th* in the Computer Science Lounge (SELE 2268) with the first game starting at 3:30pm! RSVP HERE *Details:* *What's a LAN party?* A get together for students who are interested in playing board games, card games, and video games on console or PC (: *Who can come?* Anyone can come, including non ACM members and alumni. Those who are not affiliated with UIC can also attend, but must be accompanied at all times by someone who is UIC affiliated. *What should I bring?* Your gaming machine(s), consoles, card games, board games, controllers, and any games that you would like to play! Also, we would like to have systems such as PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and Wii U (Smash and Mario Kart are a plus, hint hint wink wink) If you are willing to bring a system, please email officers at acm.cs.uic.edu as we have 4 TV's with HDMI. ** The ACM will not be providing any games or gaming machines. ** *What time?* Set-up starts at 3:00 pm Games start at 3:30 pm, such as Betrayal at House on the Hill! *Will there be food?* Yes, of course! *Please fill out the RSVP form in order to help us determine how much food will need to be ordered.* For additional questions or comments, please email officers at acm.cs.uic.edu. If you guys are interested in competing over winter break and next semester, there is a competition that I participated in 2014 but its a very challenging competition! USACO They are having preliminary competitions tomorrow and in January. Its a great experience especially if you can get into their summer training. There are also a couple of hackathons for the new spring semester found here I will also be attending SpartaHack as well as HackIllinois whenever their application opens.
