Deadline: May 31, 2017

The UIC Computer Science department is accepting applications for travel
and registration funds to attend the Grace Hopper Conference and TAPIA
conference.

GHC: To be held October 4-6 in Orlando, Florida.  gracehopper.org

 - travel departure date of October 3 and a return on October 7

TAPIA: To be held September 20-23 in Atlanta, Georgia.  tapiaconference.org/

- likely travel departure date of September 19 and return September 24th

The award includes conference registration, lodging and travel.  You will
be responsible for most of your meals, with the exception of a few
conference and department-arranged meals.

Though typically there have been some attendees who are freshmen or
sophomores, priority  will be given to CS undergraduate Juniors/Seniors
with significant CS completed course work.

The conferences are geared toward Women (GHC) and traditionally
underrepresented groups (TAPIA) in CS.  Continuing students should have a
minimum 2.7 GPA.

**All communication will be via email to the email ID you provide in the
application.**
