Hi all,

SIG Math Coding will meet at 2pm tomorrow in SEO 300. I will demo an
interactive visualization of Apollonius' circle problem in the Jupyter
notebook.

I encourage those seeking a project to think about a high-dimensional input
space - anything from a mechanistic model (the firing arc of a cannon) to a
complex corpus (a timeline of events in Harry Potter canon) to something
in-between, - and whether the problem demands a tighter coupling to output
than from paper and imagination alone.

This is a general announcement for the start of the semester. If you
haven't asked to be on the mailing list this semester, and are not on the
ACM list, no more of these should reach you.

Best,
Jasmine Otto
PhD student in Applied Math at UIC
