Hello ACM Council Candidates!

The
current positions open are: Secretary

The Secretary of the ACM collaborates with the ACM officers on planning and
hosting events. This includes reaching out to local companies to strengthen
our position in the community. Additionally, the secretary will talk to
local companies about sponsoring events, hosting tech talks, and obtaining
donations to the organization. This position is also responsible for
visiting computer science and engineering classes around campus to make
students more aware of upcoming ACM events.
SIG Director

The SIG Director of the ACM is the liaison between the SIG leaders and the
ACM board. The SIG Director has regular meetings and check-ins with the SIG
leaders, helping the SIG leaders gain resources they need to run their SIG
and make sure that the SIGs are productive and accountable for their
progress. Additionally, the SIG Director updates the ACM officers on the
progress of the SIGs on projects.
Special Events Director

The Special Events Director directs ACM’s special events, including:
hackathons, programming competitions, and LAN parties. The Special Events
Director his responsible for planning, developing, and hosting these events
with the assistance of the ACM council and officers.
Marketing Director

The Marketing Director is in charge if creating flyers, posters, and online
graphics for ACM programs and events. Additionally, the Marketing Director
assists the Web Master and the ACM officers with graphic design. Other
responsibilities of the Marketing Director include: managing the ACM social
media accounts, assisting the ACM officers and board with photography of
ACM events, expanding the ACM’s presence on social media platforms such as
Facebook, and creating social media and print marketing campaigns that aim
to expand attendance to and awareness of ACM events and grow ACM
membership.
Web Team Lead

Lead a team of students to extend the current ACM distributed system.
Coordinate with SysAdmin team to maintain backend services. Collaborate
with ACM officers to design a modern website utilizing the newly created
distributed system.
DevOps / System Admin Lead

Lead a team of students to maintain ACM’s distributed system and scale
services. Collaborate to develop build scripts for ACM backend. Manage user
administration, including security policies. Maintain system performance
and backups.
