Even though we're kind of oddballs when it comes to engineering, you
should still get involved with Engineer's Week. There are some good
events going on.
In particular, the Engineering Career Fair on Wednesday is one of the the
best events provided by the college for career opportunities.
Mark your calendars for National Engineers Week which will be
celebrated February 18- 22. The College of Engineering and
Engineering Council have invited several speakers to present on the
topic "Engineering for Sustainability."
The annual Engineering Career Fair will be held on Wednesday,
February 20 and will feature over 70 engineering
companies recruiting for interns, co-ops, and full-time applicants.
To conclude the week, all engineering students are invited to attend
the free bowling event on Friday, February 22 from 4p.m.- 8p.m. held
at the UIC Bowling Center (SCE). We will be serving food and treats,
as well as giving away over 200 T-Shirts at the bowling session. The
pool tables will also be free of charge for engineering students.
