Hi Everyone!

So, for those of you who have been coming to SIG Code, you know we're going
to work on a Haskell program that will play minesweeper. WE START THURSDAY
@ 4:00. First order of business is going to be getting people set up on the
source control repository. So please log onto the ACM git repository (
https://acm.cs.uic.edu/git) using your ACM ID and password. Once you've
done so, you can either email me your net id before the meeting, and I'll
add you to the repository (this will allow you to submit your own code for
the project). Second we'll go over creating a branch on your computer,
where you will write the code. To do this we will install git-version
control software as well as a Haskell compiler on your computer. Finally,
we will look at how we're going to tackle this project function by
function, and dull out functions for people to write. So if you were having
any doubts about maybe skipping SIG Code this Thursday... DON'T! :-) (If we
have time I'll show you how to reach the ACM SIG Code channel on ACM's IRC
which should be permanently set up by then).

See you then,
Ian
