Syslog/journeld have network capabilities such that the logging from a machines services can be sent to a centralized logging server that can make a lot of log monitoring tasks much easier as well as provide a redundant storage location for a machines logs should it go down. This should actually be a relatively easy tasks that more boils down to doing the ground work to make sure the central server is well configured and pointing clients to it.
