To whom it may concern,


My name is Morgan Muyskens, and I am a sophomore at Michigan State
University.


I am an organizer of MSU’s official hackathon, SpartaHack. This event is a
free, weekend-long, 500-student coding marathon during which attendees work
in teams to design and build an original software or hardware project. The
purpose of SpartaHack is to engage students with technology, but there are
also prizes available for exceptional projects.


We would love to have students from UIC at SpartaHack, and we figured a
good way to get in contact with those most likely to attend would be
through your chapter of ACM. We would love to see you all here!


Any current high school or college students can apply at
https://spartahack.com. We intend to offer travel reimbursement, and all
food and entertainment is free.


Please let me know if you have any questions or if you know of any specific
students, teachers, or classes that would be interested in sending a group
to the event. I have attached a simple flyer to this email for reference.
